Thursday - it must be Les Ateliers des Lumières! and Pere LaChaise Cemetery

Total immersion into Van Gogh’s art is the only way do describe the lights and sound show we experienced, and experienced through our senses, as the images appeared all around As the paintings unfolded the story of his life. The music went from classical to rock to pop enhancing the experience. One large repurposed factory, hundreds of people silently milling around made for an unforgettable immersion experience.

It was a short walk from Les Ateliers des Lumieres to Pere LaChaise Cemetery where many famous people are buried including Jim Morrision, Chopin, Moliere, Edith Piaf, Oscar Wilde and 800,000 others.  Next time we'll take a guided tour - it is so big.

"Reunited"

"My dear friends, when I die, plant a weeping willow in the cemetery.  I love it's tearful foliage, it's pale color is soft and dear, et its shade will be soft on the ground where I sleep."  (there was no weeping willow next to the grave)

"The book of life is the supreme book that no one can open or close by one's own choice.  We would like to come back to the page that we loved, but the page we die is already at our fingertips. "
