33 Days and Counting!
There are 21 travelers for the Tour de France 3 that are 33 days away from getting on the plane to Paris. Excitement is growing! Arrangements have been made, tickets for venues have been purchased (so grateful for the internet!), the "plan your work" is about finished so once we arrive in Paris we can "work our plan."
My trial suitcase is packed - going for the carry on size, plus my carry on art bag. We'll see if it works. Less is best.
The schedule has been reworked three times. The 2nd change had to be made with the sad disaster of the burning of Notre Dame. It is amazing what has been saved, especially the organ. It will be rebuilt, but not by our June visit. It will be hard to see the damage, yet there is hope for the reconstruction.
The 3rd change came this week when we found out that the MaM (Modern Art Museum of Paris) is closed for renovation, including the lovely cafe terrace that overlooks the Seine and the Eiffel Tower.
But 3rd time is a charm - and I think this last schedule will work out well for the artists to create as well as the travelers to enjoy the maximum sights of Paris.
A new venue that looks exciting is the "Ateliers des Lumieres" exhibit of VanGogh and Starry Nights - https://www.atelier-lumieres.com/en/van-gogh-starry-night.
This promises to be an amazing trip. Come and share our adventure through the blog. I have a new Sony camera with wifi capacity that pairs with my Ipad. Hopefully it will enable easy access to update this blog!
Aller en avant!
